Been trying to get things to stick to the wall this week? Well, here's the wall--it's Friday, and I've had a week of on-and-off tweeting on Twitter, where I'm
@dontgetcaught. I'm sure I missed a few things, but here's what stuck in my mind this week:
And some favorited items for the week:
- New way to see my blog: Google gave Blogger a new look, with several options for how you get to see the blog. Go to http://www.dontgetcaught.biz/view/mosaic to check out my favorite option, "mosaic," then use the upper-right button to switch to flipcard, sidebar, snapshot and timeslide versions.) You'll need a modern browser for this one: IE8, Chrome, etc.
- Hope you don't need these here: But I bet you can use these 4 tips for speed-reading long blog posts elsewhere on the web.
- Gosh, I hope not: I usually say you need to get a personality to be on social media, but not everyone has received that memo. Check out Has Facebook killed your brand's personality?
- A new twist on old skills: Science communicators, take note of The emergence of the research-development professional. It's a growing career option at universities.
Next week, my free e-newsletter,
For Communications Directors, is out. It's a great time to sign up and encourage others in your office to do so. The issue will focus on spring cleaning for communicators, from your gadgets to your lists, online profiles and more.
Use the Evernote clip button, above, to save this post in an Evernote notebook. Subscribe to For Communications Directors,
my free monthly newsletter, which features content before it appears here on the blog.
